Flash Media Server Authentication Add-in (optional)

The Flash Media Server Authentication Add In is an optional add on to FMS which enables users to authenticate to FMS when they connect from Flash Media Encoder. This file will install an authentication library in your FMS install directory and it will also create a command line utility called users.exe which can be used to generate usernames and passwords that can be used in FME to authenticate against FMS.

Download and install this file on your Flash Media Server if you administer your own FMS deployment and you want to require publishers connecting to your server with FME to authenticate with approved credentials.

Taking the plunge was fun but uneventful realizing there are millions of people with stories, information, and ideas just waiting to be discovered.  On a higher note it was a rush watching the technology go to work.  Having been on the Internet with a website back in 1995 before the net was even close to mainstream, my webmasters who were MAC users tried in every possible way to make streaming in real time come to life, but it was so new and fresh ideas were great to witness as dreams and wishes of this new technology was born.
